Some people
exhibit an allergic reaction to Natural Rubber. Chlorinated
Rubber is no different in this respect, if you are unsure
about this please test by rubbing on a small patch of skin
first. Discontinue use immediately and wash the area thoroughly
if any adverse reaction occurs.
The
links between powder and allergy developement.
Scientific
research suggests that the powders often used to allow the
gloves to be put on easily such as talcum or cornstarch attract
and transport latex proteins by respiration into the human
body.
It is
these latex molecules that can potentially trigger a latex
allergy to develop.
By removing
the use of powders Chlorination can go some way to reducing
the chances of developing a latex allergy.
Chlorination
also removes the necessity to use powdered or liquid dressing
aids and renders the usually rough, gripping inner surface
of the latex silky smooth, easy to put on and easy to clean.
We can
apply the process to any item of latex clothing coming soon
in the Latex Essence range and on your existing garments after
consultation.
